Ramya Gunashekar-Allan, is a proud New York native, who started her career in the field of education. With a Masters degree in Education and valuable experience as a pre-K teacher, including her time at a Montessori school, Ramya established a strong foundation in early childhood development and teaching methodologies.

As Ramya settled in Westchester, she felt a burning desire to create a space where she could share her passion for teaching children, fostering their creativity through arts and crafts, science and promoting fun learning. It was from this vision that Shake it Off was born.

In 2021, we proudly opened our doors for the first time, offering a haven for young minds to explore, create, and grow. As the demand for our unique approach expanded and the community embraced our mission, we realized the need for a larger space. In the winter of 2023, Shake it Off underwent a magnificent transformation, rising anew in a beautifully renovated 4,000 square foot facility. Since then, we have been flourishing and expanding our offerings.

Today, Shake it Off stands as a vibrant hub that provides a diverse range of classes, camps, events, and birthday party options to suit every child's interests and passions. Our team of dedicated staff work tirelessly to deliver meaningful experiences that inspire curiosity and foster a love for learning.
